Goa, Aug. 18 -- A road connecting Shree Khamini Temple to Tale at Bonye Pali in Savoi Verem has collapsed just around eight months after it was inaugurated on January 4, 2026, prompting urgent repair work at the affected stretch.

The condition of the road has left locals surprised, with residents questioning how a recently inaugurated stretch could deteriorate and collapse within such a short period.

Repair work has now been taken up at the affected portion to restore the road.

Further details regarding the cause of the collapse and the agency responsible for constructing the road are awaited.
