MORMUGAO, Sept. 8 -- MLA Sankalp Amonkar has accused the opposition of spreading misinformation about the Goa Ujwala Scheme and creating unnecessary fear among women beneficiaries.

Amonkar said opposition leaders were allegedly misleading women by claiming that availing benefits under the Goa Ujwala Scheme would affect their Griha Aadhar and Dayanand Social Security (DSS) Scheme benefits.

He warned the opposition against spreading what he described as false information and attempting to create confusion among beneficiaries. Amonkar also pointed out that some of the same opposition leaders raising questions over the scheme were distributing its application forms in their respective constituencies.
