Sanguem, Sept. 4 -- Students of a government higher secondary school in Sanguem staged protests at the Sanguem bus stand and later on the college premises, opposing the transfer of lecture-based teachers and the removal of some teachers from their posts.

The students said they had recently been assigned new teachers and would need time to adjust to their teaching methods. With examinations scheduled for October, they expressed concern that the changes could disrupt their studies and affect their preparation.

The protesting students urged the authorities to reconsider the decisions and ensure continuity in teaching, particularly with the examinations fast approaching.
