Goa, Sept. 25 -- Authorities in Sanguem have registered an FIR against the headmistress of a local high school after she allegedly slapped a Class VI student seven times, an incident that was captured on CCTV and later went viral on social media.
The case has been booked under Sections 125A, 115(2), and 8(2) of the Goa Children Act. The viral footage sparked widespread outrage, prompting swift action from the authorities.
Officials have confirmed that an investigation is underway to ascertain the details of the incident, while parents and the local community have expressed concern over student safety and disciplinary practices in schools.
