Sangodd Festival Celebrated with Traditional Boat Blessing Ceremony in Vasco
Goa, June 29 -- The Feast of St. Peter and St. Paul, popularly known as Sangodd, was celebrated with deep faith and traditional fervour in Vasco on Sunday, with members of the fishing community participating in special religious ceremonies.
The celebrations began with fishermen gathering at the Old Cross Chapel to offer prayers, seeking the blessings of the patron saints for protection and prosperity. A procession was then held from the chapel to the fishing jetty, where the faithful joined in the observance.
