India, March 13 -- The Sangameshwar Devasthan Samiti has submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Collector of Sanguem, Milind Velip, raising concerns over the proposed construction of a bandara on the Zuari River at Mirabag.
In the memorandum, the samiti expressed apprehension about the potential impact of the project on the historic Shri Sangameshwar Temple as well as on nearby villages, the surrounding environment and public health.Members of the samiti stated that the construction of the bandara could disrupt the natural flow of the river and may adversely affect the temple premises and the ecological balance of the area.
