Goa, Sept. 22 -- The Saligao circle-Pilerne Industrial Estate road, which was dug up for underground cabling and water pipeline works, has been left unrestored, creating deep potholes that caused multiple accidents, vehicle damage, and traffic chaos during the monsoon.
In response to public concerns, Saligao MLA Kedar Naik convened a joint meeting with Public Works Department (PWD) officials and the local panchayat. He assured that the road will be fully restored once the monsoon season concludes.
Sarpanch Lucas Remedios confirmed that pothole filling work has already begun and added that hot-mixing of the road will be completed by October, bringing much-needed relief to daily commuters.
