Goa, June 30 -- The alleged fuel contamination controversy at a petrol pump in Saligao has intensified after more customers came forward claiming their vehicles broke down shortly after refuelling. One customer alleged that mechanics found a significant quantity of water mixed with petrol while draining his motorcycle's fuel tank, adding to concerns surrounding the incident.

Speaking to reporters, the petrol pump manager maintained that all standard safety checks were carried out before operations began. According to him, the outlet conducted routine sampling and water-level checks early in the morning, and no traces of water were detected before fuel sales started at around 7 am.
