Goa, Oct. 28 -- Saligao MLA Kedar Naik, along with members of the Saligao and Pilerne panchayats, concerned officials, and local residents, convened a meeting at the Saligao Solid Waste Management Treatment Facility to address ongoing issues related to pollution and unauthorised waste disposal. During the meeting, it was decided to form a new monitoring committee to oversee activities at the facility and ensure stricter regulation. The committee resolved to install a boom barrier at the main gate, manned by security personnel, to prevent unauthorised sewage tankers from entering the premises.
