Goa, July 30 -- The water level at the Salaulim Dam has reached close to its overflow mark, with a slight overflow already reported from one side of the reservoir. Authorities are expected to commence full water discharge from the dam at any time today.

Following continuous rainfall in the catchment areas, the reservoir has witnessed a steady rise in water levels, bringing it close to full storage capacity.

Officials are closely monitoring the situation and are expected to regulate the water level through controlled discharge as a precautionary measure. Residents living along downstream riverbanks have been advised to remain alert and follow any advisories issued by the authorities.
