Goa, Aug. 16 -- Differences within the Sankhalim Block Congress Committee surfaced on Thursday, with some members strongly objecting to the appointment of Rajesh Sawal as block president. The dissent was voiced in the presence of AICC secretary in charge of the Goa desk, Anjali Nimbalkar, who advised members to abide by the party's decision.

After the meeting, Nimbalkar declined to share details, accusing the media of reporting groupism within the committee and of covering meetings at two separate venues.
