Goa, June 8 -- Rohit Sharma has arrived at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru to undergo fitness assessments ahead of India's upcoming three-match ODI series against Afghanistan.

The veteran opener, who suffered a hamstring injury during IPL 2026, remains a part of India's ODI squad but his participation is subject to receiving clearance from the CoE medical staff.

According to reports, Rohit checked into the facility on Monday and is expected to spend the next few days completing a series of fitness tests and practice sessions. The former India captain was initially expected to travel with the rest of the squad on June 9, but will now join the team only after proving his fitness.
