Goa, Aug. 20 -- A case of road rage took a violent turn near the health centre in Margao on Tuesday when a group of 4-5 assailants attacked two men inside the premises.

According to sources, the victim had stopped his bike near the centre and rushed inside to escape his pursuers. However, the attackers followed and allegedly assaulted Rashid Ali and Shakir Ali, using a fire extinguisher and a sharp knife.

Both men sustained serious injuries and were immediately shifted to South Goa District Hospital for treatment.

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation to trace the accused.
