Goa, June 30 -- The much-anticipated roll-on/roll-off (Ro-Ro) ferry service between Ribandar and Chorao is set to begin operations within the next 10 days, pending final confirmation from the state government, an official said on Monday.
According to Vikramsinh Rajebhosale, Director of the River Navigation Department, the government has approved the fare structure for the service, and a formal notification is expected to be issued by tomorrow.
Under the approved rates, pedestrians and two-wheeler riders will be able to use the ferry free of charge. Four-wheelers will pay Rs.30 per trip, or a discounted rate of Rs.15 if they hold a monthly pass.
