Goa, April 20 -- Amid rising concerns over frequent road accidents in Assolda, residents of the area, along with local representatives, submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Collector of Quepem seeking immediate intervention.
The delegation included Dattaraj Dessai and Sarpanch Custodio Fernandes, who highlighted several accident-prone spots and stressed the urgent need for safety measures to prevent further mishaps.
Deputy Collector Manohar Karekar acknowledged the concerns raised and assured the delegation that appropriate steps would be taken. Among the measures discussed was the installation of speed breakers at identified locations to enhance road safety.
