Goa, July 16 -- Realme has confirmed that all its future smartphones, along with eligible existing devices receiving software updates, will run on ColorOS, marking a significant shift in its software strategy. The company said the move is aimed at simplifying software development and accelerating the rollout of updates by adopting a unified operating system across its devices.

The transition means Realme UI will gradually be replaced by ColorOS 17. Industry experts note that the change is unlikely to significantly impact users, as Realme UI has long shared its design language and core features with ColorOS. As a result, the migration is expected to be more of a branding change than a complete software overhaul.
