Goa, Aug. 21 -- Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar and Margao MLA Digambar Kamat were sworn in as ministers in the Goa cabinet on Thursday.
The oath of office and secrecy was administered by Governor Ashok Gajapathi Raju in the presence of Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and other dignitaries.
Tawadkar, who resigned as Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly earlier in the day, and senior leader Kamat have been inducted into the cabinet as part of a political reshuffle ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections.
Portfolios for the two new ministers are expected to be announced soon.
