Goa, July 16 -- Panjim police have arrested Rajjab Husain, a resident of Jodhpur, Rajasthan, for allegedly defrauding a resident of Dona Paula of Rs.3,27,300 under the guise of offering a work-from-home job opportunity.

According to police, the victim was lured into the scam through false promises of online employment and subsequently tricked into transferring the amount in phases. Upon receiving a complaint, authorities traced and apprehended Husain, who is now in custody.

An investigation is underway to determine if the accused is linked to a larger cyber fraud network targeting job seekers.
