Goa, Aug. 23 -- Vendors at the temporary fish market in Quepem have urged the Quepem Municipality to address overgrown vegetation surrounding the market premises. They say the unchecked growth of grass and bushes has created unhygienic conditions and raised concerns about reptiles, mosquitoes and other pests entering the market. The issue becomes particularly worrying during the weekly Sunday market, when the area sees increased activity. Vendors have called for immediate clearing of the vegetation and improved cleanliness and sanitation measures to provide a safer, cleaner and healthier environment for traders and visitors.
