Goa, Sept. 19 -- Tension mounted in the state capital as a large group of protestors marched to the Goa Police Headquarters demanding swift justice in the assault case of activist Rama Kankonkar. The agitators raised strong objections to the delay in action and pressed for the immediate arrest of the absconding accused.

In response to the sudden surge of demonstrators, police authorities shut the main gates of the headquarters as a preventive security measure. The protestors, however, continued to voice their outrage, stressing that justice must not be delayed and urging authorities to treat the case with utmost seriousness.
