Goa, June 3 -- A private vehicle allegedly being used for commercial passenger transport was intercepted at Mopa International Airport on Tuesday after local taxi operators raised objections over its activities.

According to sources, taxi drivers operating at the airport noticed the vehicle allegedly ferrying passengers for hire despite being registered as a private car. Suspecting a violation of transport regulations, they brought the matter to the attention of the authorities.

Following the complaint, police were called to the spot and conducted a preliminary inquiry into the vehicle's operations. Officials examined the circumstances under which the passengers were being transported and verified relevant documents.
