Goa, May 11 -- Pramod Sawant on Sunday supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal urging citizens to reduce unnecessary fuel consumption and avoid excessive gold purchases amid rising global uncertainty.

Speaking about the Prime Minister's message, Sawant said India imports a large amount of fuel from foreign nations, which directly impacts the country's foreign exchange reserves. He added that gold imports also lead to a major outflow of money from the country.
