Goa, Aug. 29 -- Two unidentified armed men opened fire at Casino Majestic director Shrinivas Nayak outside Majestic Paradise in Porvorim on Friday night, triggering a major police operation across Goa. Nayak escaped unharmed after his security guard returned fire, forcing the attackers to flee. Police have since launched a manhunt, examined CCTV footage and begun probing the motive behind the apparent targeted attack.

According to preliminary police information, the two assailants entered the parking area of the premises between 7:45 pm and 8 pm. They allegedly hid between parked vehicles, giving them a clear view of vehicles entering and leaving the property.
