Goa, July 28 -- In a swift and focused operation, Porvorim Police arrested Kishorbhai Macchi, alias Ajay Ranpariya (44), a repeat chain snatcher from Gujarat, for stealing a gold chain worth Rs.1.8 lakh in PDA Colony. The incident occurred on July 24, when the accused posed as a courier delivery agent, approached a woman, snatched her chain, and fled the scene.

Police quickly launched an intensive investigation using CCTV footage and technical surveillance, which led them to a guest house in Calangute, where Macchi was apprehended. The arrest reflects the department's strong resolve to tackle street crimes swiftly and effectively.
