Goa, Aug. 25 -- The planned closure of the main highway stretch from O'Coqueiro Circle to Mall de Goa for ongoing construction has been deferred following a request from Porvorim MLA and Minister Rohan Khaunte. He appealed to the Chief Minister to postpone the closure until after Ganesh Chaturthi to avoid disrupting festive traffic.
To manage vehicle movement during flyover construction, authorities have temporarily split the one-way lane opposite Mall de Goa into two, allowing smoother flow toward Panjim during peak hours. Additionally, traffic is being diverted via the internal BB Borkar Road to reduce congestion on the highway.
