Goa, June 13 -- Bicholim Police have arrested a police constable attached to the SDPO Ponda office for allegedly nearly ramming Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant's convoy at Amona junction. The driver was reportedly under the influence of alcohol.

Bicholim Police have arrested a police constable attached to the office of the SDPO Ponda for allegedly driving dangerously and nearly colliding with Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant's convoy at Amona junction.

The accused, a resident of Marcel-Khandola, allegedly fled the scene after the incident but was later traced and brought to the police station for questioning before being placed under arrest.
