Goa, Dec. 23 -- The Special POCSO Court in Panaji has denied bail to an 18-year-old accused in a minor kidnapping case. The accused was arrested for allegedly abducting a 16-year-old girl and taking her to Karnataka, where he is accused of sexually assaulting her. The court observed that the investigation is still at a preliminary stage and noted that the custodial presence of the accused is necessary for further probe. Considering the seriousness of the allegations and the stage of investigation, the court rejected the bail plea.
