Goa, May 18 -- Significant progress has been reported in Gujarat's ambitious Kalpasar Project following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent diplomatic visit to the Netherlands.

During the visit, PM Modi, accompanied by Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten, inspected the Netherlands' iconic Afsluitdijk water management structure. The 32-kilometre barrier dam is globally recognised for its advanced flood control and marine engineering systems.

Impressed by the engineering model, PM Modi reportedly observed that the technologies used in the Afsluitdijk project could offer valuable insights for Gujarat's proposed Kalpasar Project due to the structural and geographical similarities between the two projects.
