Goa, Sept. 11 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Dehradun on 11th September 2025 to assess the damage caused by recent cloudbursts, heavy rains, and landslides in Uttarakhand. The visit followed his engagement with visiting Mauritius PM Navinchandra Ramgoolam in Varanasi.

During an official meeting in Dehradun, PM Modi reviewed ongoing relief and rehabilitation measures and announced a financial aid package of Rs.1,200 crore to assist the flood-affected state. The package will cover reconstruction of homes under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Gramin, restoration of national highways, rebuilding of schools, livestock relief kits, and disbursement through the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund.
