Goa, Oct. 6 -- Around 250 parents, former students, and villagers gathered at the Government Primary School (GPS) premises in Ponda to protest against a toilet constructed inside a classroom, citing concerns over student safety and hygiene.
The protest comes after objections from the school's landlord prevented the construction of the toilet outside the classroom, forcing parents to install it inside the learning space.
During the protest, five key resolutions were passed:
Parents and community members emphasized that creating a safe and healthy educational environment is their top priority and called for swift action from authorities.
