Goa, Oct. 4 -- Panjim police have registered an FIR against Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao, Goa Forward Party (GFP) chief Vijai Sardesai, and 450 other known and unknown individuals in connection with the alleged rioting and unlawful assembly that occurred on September 19.

The incident is linked to the ongoing investigation into the attempted murder case of activist Rama Kankonkar. Authorities have stated that the FIR was filed after assessing the involvement of the accused in the public unrest on that date.

Investigation into the case is ongoing, and police have appealed to those named in the FIR to cooperate with the authorities.
