Goa, Oct. 10 -- The North Goa District Magistrate has rejected an application seeking permission for a public assembly by Amreen Shaikh and her group, the Cockroach Janata Party (Goa), at Azad Maidan in Panaji on October 11, 2026.

The decision was taken following an adverse report submitted by the Superintendent of Police, North Goa, regarding the proposed gathering.

With the permission denied, the group will not be authorised to hold the proposed public assembly at the specified venue and date under the application.
