Goa, Aug. 20 -- The North Goa Additional Sessions Court has rejected the bail applications of Rahul Maheshwari and Rashmi Solanki, who are accused in the murder of tourist Bhavana Tomar.

Tomar was found dead in a hotel room in Calangute in March 2025. The court declined to grant bail to the two accused, citing the seriousness of the alleged offence, the prima facie evidence against them and their conduct.

The court observed that the circumstances of the case did not justify releasing the accused on bail at this stage.

Maheshwari and Solanki will therefore remain in custody as the legal proceedings in the murder case continue.
