Goa, June 18 -- In a landmark move to streamline highway travel and reduce toll-related hassles, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is set to roll out a FASTag-based Annual Pass for private vehicles starting August 15, 2025. Priced at Rs.3,000, the pass will be valid for one year from the date of activation or up to 200 trips, whichever comes first.

The scheme is exclusively designed for non-commercial private vehicles-including cars, jeeps, and vans-and is expected to significantly reduce travel costs and time for frequent highway users. The Annual Pass will be usable across all National Highways in India.
