Goa, Aug. 27 -- Nearly 300 Indians are among around 1,500 people reported missing following devastating flash floods that swept parts of Nepal and Tibet, Nepal Foreign Minister Shisir Khanal said.

The large-scale flooding has triggered an urgent search and rescue operation, with authorities working to trace those reported missing and establish contact with their families.

The number of Indians among the missing has raised concern in India, as efforts continue to gather information about people who may have been travelling or working in the affected regions.
