NCB Arrests Alleged Kingpin Of Rs.115-Crore Cross-Border Drug Syndicate
Goa, May 17 -- The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested an alleged kingpin of a major transnational drug trafficking syndicate operating along the India-Myanmar border. The accused, identified as Thachintuang, also known as Chintuang and Tluanga, was apprehended in Delhi after months of surveillance and intelligence-based operations.
According to officials, Chintuang was one of the biggest suppliers of methamphetamine and heroin routed from Myanmar into India through Mizoram, Manipur, Assam and Tripura. Investigators alleged that he managed an extensive network involved in cross-border narcotics trafficking and distribution into different parts of India and Bangladesh.
