Goa, Oct. 10 -- Even as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has not yet declared the withdrawal of the monsoon, Mumbai's air quality worsened this week, with the overall AQI surpassing 100 on Thursday evening. Experts have warned that the city could see further deterioration in the coming months.
Data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) revealed that AQI, which remained under 50 till October 4, rose to 61 on Sunday, 71 on Wednesday, and finally touched 105 by Thursday evening. Areas like Sewri, BKC, Deonar, and Borivali recorded the worst air quality, falling into the 'moderate' category.
