Goa, April 15 -- The Goa State Pollution Control Board, in coordination with multiple government departments, has launched an inspection drive to identify sources of pollution in the River Sal.

Officials from the Public Works Department (PWD), Water Resources Department (WRD), Health Department, and Margao Municipal Council (MMC) are part of the joint exercise. The team will conduct inspections at various locations along the river over the next three days.

Authorities said the initiative aims to assess pollution levels and pinpoint contributing factors affecting the river's ecosystem. A comprehensive report based on the findings will be submitted to higher authorities for further action.
