Goa, Aug. 19 -- Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Tanavade was informed in Parliament that under the ambitious Cruise Bharat Mission (CBM), Mormugao Port recorded 38 cruise ship calls, handled 67,594 passengers and generated Rs 4.82 crore in revenue between October 2024 and June 2025.
Launched on September 30, 2024, the CBM is a strategic initiative by the Government of India to transform the country's cruise tourism sector. It sets out a comprehensive inter-ministerial framework to address policy, regulatory and operational aspects of the industry.
