Goa, July 28 -- Mumbai-based model Rhiya Ahir, who emerged as a prominent face of the nationwide NEET paper leak protests after standing in front of a police van carrying detained demonstrators, has filed a complaint with the cyber police alleging online abuse, threats and harassment.

In her complaint lodged at the MIDC Police Station, Ahir alleged that she has been subjected to continuous threats on social media since the incident. She also claimed to have received obscene and sexually explicit comments on her online posts.

According to the complaint, Ahir has become the target of a coordinated online hate campaign involving defamation, intimidation, misogynistic abuse, targeted harassment and the circulation of deepfake videos.
