India, March 11 -- Sankalp Amonkar has urged the state government to introduce an additional dialysis shift at the Sub-District Hospital Chicalim to better serve patients from Mormugao taluka.

Raising the issue through a Zero Hour mention in the Goa Legislative Assembly, Amonkar pointed out that the dialysis unit at the hospital has 12 beds but currently operates only until 6 pm.He said the limited operating hours often force patients to wait for long periods to receive treatment. As a result, several patients are compelled to travel to other medical facilities such as Goa Medical College and Hospital or hospitals in Margao for dialysis.
