Goa, Aug. 6 -- Levelling serious charges against police constable Gauresh Naik from Valpoi-Sattari by referring to him as a "collection agent", Aldona MLA Carlos Alvares Ferreira on Tuesday questioned how a constable could afford a bungalow worth crores of rupees, land, and a luxury car - all allegedly registered in his wife's name.

"We have a black sheep in the force, a police constable by name Gauresh Naik from Valpoi and now posted at Valpoi police station. He seems to wield considerable influence or clout in the police," he said,

The MLA said, "Many believe Naik to be collection agent and I do not know for whom he is collecting, whether for himself or he is passing down the line."
