Goa, Oct. 27 -- Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) leader Dr Ketan Bhatikar has made it clear that he will not step back from the electoral race in Ponda. Stating that he has already conveyed his stand to party leaders and supporters, Dr Bhatikar said, "I'm not backing out for sure. If I'm going, I'm going independent if I don't get a ticket."
He stressed that his decision is driven by commitment to the constituency, not by political pressure. "I'm not backing out to create someone else as an MLA in Ponda - that's very clear," he asserted.
While keeping the door open for dialogue, Dr Bhatikar affirmed his determination to contest. "Whoever it is, Ketan Bhatikar is in the line," he added, indicating his readiness to fight independently...
