Goa, Dec. 28 -- The state power department has recalibrated its enforcement strategy for electricity meter relocation, effectively easing the dead-line to January 2026 and keeping disconnections on hold, Power Minister Sudin Dhavalikar said while speaking to the media recently. While the formal deadline of November 28 remains unchanged, the minister said the department has slowed down implementation after reviewing ground realities and the festive season.
"No power supply has been dis-connected due to the shifting order: Officially there is no extension, but we are going slow with the disconnection order," an engineer from the electricity department said.
