India, Feb. 7 -- Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal on Saturday said the Ministry of External Affairs will provide clarity on whether India will stop purchasing Russian oil. Responding to questions about a White House statement linking tariff relief to India ending imports of Russian crude, Goyal said the MEA would share details. The White House had claimed India committed to halt direct or indirect imports of Russian oil and increase purchases of US energy products. Meanwhile, Goyal assured that Indian farmers and MSMEs will be protected under the interim US-India trade framework. He said agricultural exports from India will enter the US at zero duty, while no tariff concessions have been given for US farm goods entering India.
