Goa, Aug. 18 -- MLA Digambar Kamat on Monday announced that the long-pending renovation of Margao's new market will be carried out in two phases, with tenders worth Rs.1.50 crore already approved. He also confirmed that the work order for the renovation of Gand Market has been issued, with work expected to begin after the monsoon.
Kamat was speaking after inaugurating the newly installed railing at Pimpal Katta, Margao. He further informed that two buildings at the Margao market have already been renovated under the Margao Municipal Council (MMC) at a cost of Rs.70 lakh.
The MLA assured that the market upgrades will provide better facilities for vendors and shoppers, while also improving safety and infrastructure in the commercial hub....
