Goa, July 23 -- The Colva Police have registered a case against a 31-year-old man from Margao following a complaint filed by his wife, alleging prolonged domestic cruelty, assault, criminal intimidation and extortion.

According to the complaint, the accused allegedly subjected the woman to continuous harassment and retained her gold ornaments. She further alleged that he threatened to circulate her private photographs and demanded Rs.2 crore from her.

The complainant also accused the man of threatening to kill her if his monetary demand was not met.
