Goa, July 25 -- The Components of the Margao Comunidade held a meeting on Saturday to deliberate on several issues concerning the functioning of the Comunidade, with the appointment of a new President emerging as the key point of discussion.

During the meeting, members strongly objected to the appointment made following the resignation of elected President Savio Curaia. They alleged that the newly appointed President is not eligible to hold the post under the applicable rules governing the Comunidade.
