Goa, Aug. 20 -- Mapusa Police have cracked a fatal hit-and-run case at Moira that claimed the life of 35-year-old Antonio Jonnie Quadros of Attafondem, Moira.

The accident occurred in the early hours of August 18 near Moira Bridge, when an unidentified vehicle allegedly knocked down Quadros, who was walking along the road. The driver reportedly fled the scene without providing assistance or informing the police.

Following an investigation, police arrested Rohan Suryakant Patil (32), a native of Ajra, Gadhinglaj, in connection with the incident.

Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Abhijit Naik.
