In the wake of the recent Vasco market fire, the Mapusa Merchants Association (MMA) has submitted a memorandum to the Mapusa Municipal Council (MMC) Chief Of ficer, Municipal Adminis trator and Mapusa MLA Joshua D'Souza, demanding urgent preventive meas ures and a comprehensive fire safety audit of the Ma pusa Municipal Market. Signed by MMA president Shripad Sawant and secre tary Siddesh Raut, the mem orandum lists five priority demands, including round the-clock clearance of emer gency access roads for fire tenders and ambulances by removing parked vehicles and vendor encroachments from the yellow pathways marked by the PWD at the association's request.
